IT Administrator Service Desk / Onsite-Support (m/w/d)

Whether it's managing the server environment, setting up the network infrastructure of a new location, introducing new software or cloud apps: the great depth and breadth of production and the IT environment completely under our own control offer a broad playground for IT professionals and our customers appreciate it.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • You will provide 1st level support both on-site and remotely in consultation with colleagues from corporate IT for the operational areas of the Abingdon site
  • You will also be responsible for the administration, configuration and installation of mobile devices (forklift terminals, handheld scanners, label printers)
  • In order to guarantee the best possible hardware supply for the employees on site, you will be responsible for managing the corresponding inventory
  • You will also ensure the smooth installation and operation of Microsoft Windows client systems and other software
  • You are the central point of contact for employees on site and represent your team colleagues in Germany as a corporate IT ambassador
  • We are constantly working to inspire new customers for Simon Hegele, which is why we need your IT expertise for the perfect implementation of customer requirements
  • You will also be responsible for the documentation management of past and current processes
  • The team in Germany and the management in Abingdon are always on hand with help and advice, which is why regular consultations are a matter of course for you

Ihr Profil

  • You handle the first level job with ease as you have already gained relevant experience
  • The concerns of end users are important to you, which is why you are happy to assist them with your service-orientated way of working
  • You are particularly familiar with IT support using a ticket system (ideally with Matrix 42)
  • No one can fool you when it comes to the installation, administration and maintenance of hardware and software
  • You have a very good command of English and ideally a good command of German
  • An international environment is exactly what you are looking for in your new challenge
  • Your communicative, independent and team-orientated way of working rounds off your profile
